The two lower storeys form a 3 bedroom villa comprised of:-
Downstairs. Back patio, laundry/storeroom, dining room, kitchen, bathroom,
livingroom, veranda and courtyard directly on the beach facing the sea.
Upstairs. Two medium-sized bedrooms each with bathroom and veranda, as well as direct access to the garden.
Also upstairs – a large master bedroom and large veranda overlook the sea and beach. There is a bathroom with a Jacuzzi-type bath.
The lounge and master bedroom have windows on three sides.
All the six bedrooms in this building are air-conditioned.
The villa was designed to provide the flexibility for the two medium sized bedrooms to be separately used as guest rooms, if required, and kept distinct from the rest of the house, and that is mostly how they have been used. No structural alterations are required to bring them back to form a family home again.
The approximate floor area of this building is 4,000 square feet and it is 150 ft from high water mark. By roofing the courtyard (roof beams already exist) and extending upwards, there is the opportunity (subject to planning approval) to increase the floor area by about 750 oceanfront square feet.
Behind the owners’ house is an outdoor hot-tub for up to four or five persons, and behind that are four small timber cabins, known as ‘’Secrets’’, which accommodate guests. A new owner who wanted to increase the private land, or add a pool for the villa, could easily demolish the cabins, which have no foundations, and thus have the villa on a strip of land about 330ft. long finishing at high water mark.
Firefly Cottage, currently known as ‘’Alpine Chalet’’, is a one bedroom cottage and along with ‘’Cozy Cottage on the Sand’’ and eleven other studios and apartments, completes our guest rooms.
Additionally we have a studio for a living-in staff member.
The small beach-bar, just 60 ft from the Caribbean Sea, is a tranquil spot for guests and others and whilst not uncommon for this beach, many of the Caribbean’s great beaches do not have the romantic intimacy, nor the shade from the sun (also created by the beach trees) available here.
The office, staffroom, small gym and other bathrooms complete our buildings.
